Hello Everyone
‼️ Important Class Notice ‼️
Please only come along to your class if you have booked back in for your class. As we have said before we are restricted to class numbers for our own safety, we are trying our best, and we will look to hold more classes if we can. Even if you were in the class back in the Spring does not mean you have been automatically enrolled now as we have had to half the class numbers per session.
✅ Make sure you have received your confirmation email invoice.
✅ Make sure you have paid your September fees.
✅ You can see your class booking on 'Upcoming Classes' on your Class Manager Parent Portal
✅ Please follow the arrivals checklist on entry & book in.
We really do not wish to cause any disappointment to any students, but we are bound by the rules and cannot make any exceptions, even to friends and family. Waiting lists are up and running, if you have not got a place in the class yet, please make sure you have been put on the waiting list.
‼️ Important Messages ‼️
Please, please we cannot stress the importance of reading the emails and going onto the website to be up to date. We have been overwhelmed with questions from parents on social media, that were answered in the emails etc. It might seem a quick question to you but times that by 200 + parents just asking a quick question every day!
Please make sure you are emailing or sending messages to the official pages, where there are many admins to help deal with your query. Please do not message us on our personal accounts as we can't guarantee it will get answered or passed onto the team. We try to reply as quickly as we can during our business hours.
Thank you so much for your support and understanding, we are doing our best in these difficult times.

Hello Everyone

It is the start of the Autumn Term and we are excited to return to the studio.  Here are a few reminders and FAQ's to help you, and some very important information about safety procedures.  We have been inundated with enquiries, and some of our team are still on annual leave.  So apologies, we are trying to get through them as quickly as we can.  We hope you are all well, and look forward to seeing you soon.

Classes start from Sunday 6th September

Upon arrival to the studio please familiarise yourself with our Arrivals Checklist and follow the steps upon entry.  Please ensure if you are not a pre-booked student in the class and you are entering the studio that you complete the visitor log for Track & Trace purposes.

General Hygiene Reminders

Please no bare feet in the studio at any time, you must wear dance shoes or trainers.  Please bring a bag to put your outside shoes in when you are in your class.  You must make sure your dance kit is clean and washed between classes.  We will not be able to keep any items left behind or lost property, it is advised items are discarded, so please make sure you have all your belongings including water bottles.  Label all your bottles, shoes etc.  Please encourage no physical contact, no hugs, just virtual high five's!  https://youtu.be/zU5yiriw0Pg

Changing Facilities

Facilities will be limited, where possible, please arrive changed ready for your class.  You must keep all belongings with you in a bag.

Physical Condition & Exercise

We will be talking the students about coming into class at a gentle pace, as many of us have not been doing the usual level of activities during the last few months.  Please help us talk to the children about building back up slowly to avoid the risk of injury and general health.  We are all looking forward to getting back into our routines but it is important we go at a steady pace that is safe for the students, we will get back to how we were, but it will just take a little time.

Will parents be allowed in the waiting areas & studio?

Please note that only 1 adult may accompany students to the studio, to try to keep numbers to a minimum.  Social distancing and hand sanitising will be in place in our cafe bar area.  We only have very limited seating available.  Where possible we would encourage to drop off and collect older students.  We have spoken to many parents over the past week as many children are anxious about starting back to activities.  We have decided to put a small amount of chairs distanced in each studio and we will allow parents to accompany the under 8's into class only if they need it, just to make the transition easier for the first 2 weeks, we want to support the students as they adapt to returning to classes, and can appreciate they may have not left your side for many months.  Please try to encourage them to be independent as best they can, but rest assured we have their well-being as our top priority.

Facilities & Cafe Arrangements

We will be serving drinks, and we will have snacks, crisps, cakes etc but the kitchen menu has been scaled down to accommodate our new surroundings.  We apologise for any inconvenience whilst we work through these strange times.

How will we respond to any infection?

Our risk assessments include an emergency action plan for any cluster/outbreak of two or more cases of COVID-19 in the dance community.  We must emphasise that no student or member of staff should attend the studio if they:

• Feel unwell, have any of the four identified COVID-19 symptoms (a new continuous cough, a high temperature or loss of taste or smell) or they have tested positive to COVID-19 in the past 7 days

• Live in a household with someone who has symptoms of COVID-19 or has tested positive to COVID-19 in the past 14 days

• We have a clear escalation policy and procedures in place if students or staff begin to show symptoms of COVID-19 while at the the studio. Those showing symptoms will be kept separate until they can be collected and taken home.

What if there is a second spike?

Although the intention is for all students to return to the studio in the autumn, we have already commenced our contingency planning in the event of a further local lockdown.  Please ensure you are registered on our Class Manager system as this will be how the invitations will be sent out to access virtual lessons through Zoom.  We have already adapted our lessons plans and choreography to adjust to us learning in smaller surroundings at home.

Face Coverings

At the moment, it is is optional to wear face coverings in the cafe bar areas where physical distancing is unlikely to be maintained.  We will continue to follow the advice and guidance, and will adapt as it changes.  We have been advised not to wear face coverings in class to dance, as this could cause more harm.

UKA Lockdown Medal Awards

The UKA awards have arrived you will be able to collect them from reception.  Well done to everyone that completed the dance challenge at home or in the Summer Workshops.

Well-Being Club

Well-Being Club monthly workshops will be back up and running our first session will be on Saturday 26th September at 6:00 pm.  Please ask at the studio to book.

New Monthly Memberships

The way we pay our fees is changing to monthly rather than every half term.   The fees are now pro rata across the year, you will pay the same fees every month.  Please watch our video for reminders and term dates.  https://youtu.be/fHSFuE3GZCo .  You must pre- book and confirm your class places before we start back in September.

Thank You, for all your patience as we navigate through a new way or working.  Let's get creative, get dancing and absolutely smash this term!
